This project was a challenge of creating a dual-spread, bleed booklet for personal favorite recipes! The challenge with this book was incorporating the dark color scheme and vibrant imagery. I knew I wanted to use traditional red and dark colors for this Chinese cookbook. I also had to make everything easily legible. Using Photoshop, I created custom composites for each and every background of each page. By doing this I had full control of where the content would go and how it would be spaced. I also used Illustrator to create the vector imagery like the dragon, lamps, chopsticks etc., and compiled it all together with InDesign.
